impulse control, lack of
My wrists hurt, my ears are ringing and my neighbors are moving out… aah – this was a fun weekend. Picked up the baby last week from her first makeover at the dealership. The bike is now fitted with a new Termignoni exhaust system (BOOOM), a smaller front sprocket (wheelies in 2nd) and a pair of nice bar-end mirrors instead of the original factory installed Mickey Mouse job. So I’m slowly going deaf, have way to much power for my own good and all I can make out in the rear mirrors, is some blurry mess. In short: HAPPINESS
Still have some mapping issues, so I need to take her back to the garage for more adjustments. Power loss around 3K can be a little annoying when you’re riding in city traffic. She rumbles, sputters and pops a bit when I decelerate but apparently that’s what “they do”, according to the service manager over at the dealership.
While I rode through the narrow streets downtown York on Saturday afternoon, I received many thumb’s-up but also some annoyed glares. We’ll see how long I can live with this obnoxious noise. I’m afraid I’m becoming a cop-magnet as well. Still no tickets though *furiously knocking on wood*
Clicky-click for close-up over-saturated p0rn
The next “upgrade” on the bike will be to remove the rather embarrassing “chicken strips” on my rear tire. Normally, that doesn’t cost anything (unless you hit gravel, oil and/or a meeting car). Just need to find me some good twisties without any traffic.
Ciao biatches !

Yes, she she is lookin’ purdy. (I’m assuming it’s a she; why are all vehicles “she”?) And the over-saturated photo is nice, particularly the use of the larger f-stop to get the whole bike in focus. Tasteful.
What are “mapping issues”? Also does the bike have an iPod docking station for your iPhone? Wow, wouldn’t that be sweet to mount your iPhone to the handle bars and be streaming live video to a webpage as you’re cruising?

Eh, meant “aperture” instead of “f-stop”.

dunno why we call vehicles “she” … must be a manlyman thing…
“mapping issue” refers to the need of adjusting the bike’s ECU (electronic control unit) … AFAIK they use a laptop to program/map the bikes ECU, so it provides the correct amount of fuel for a given throttle position (and probably other params as well). The new pipes came with a new ECU and a new air box (intake), so some re-mapping/programming is in order. Right now – my bike is sputtering around 3 grand (3000 RPMS) … which is terrible annoying when you go slow.
iPod docking station wouldn’t work well, but a helmet mounted camera would. I’ll check into that

If the neighbors move out, who will complete the backyard carpeting??
Haha.
Can’t wait for the bike to be completely upgraded, then you’ll be riding in even more style.

haha – think they gave up the driveway carpeting project when everything froze over this winter. And the bike’s pretty much the way I want it right now. I might put on clip-ons & a small fairing down the road though – for the “cafe look”
