There is some kind of rule about so many notes/bars of a song that can be identical to another song. And yet I think it’s a very gray area as to defining what is for-real plagiarism and what is just acceptable similarity. So many songs have the same chord progressions and drum rhythms, so I don’t know how or why the copyright does or doesn’t get enforced in certain circumstances.
