We’re at the checkout counter @ Best Buy. I’m about to pay for a pair of lightweight Sony cans. The ear buds that came with the iPhone didn’t do it for me. The kid behind the counter is your typical 14 year old with a slight acne problem and a runny nose.

kid: doyouwantsoftwaretoday?

me: I’m sorry ?

kid: wodzdadallsoftwarefotoday ?

me: huh ?

kid: WOULD-THAT-BE-ALL-FOR-TODAY ?

me: Ah, yes, I think that would be all.

Good heavens. Don’t they teach kids how to speak nowadays ? What’s up with all this mumbling ?

I’m getting old. *sigh*
